Mang0 is the gary oak of smash, and Hbox is Ash. Literally it's the SAME relationship. Hbox understood the rivarly but humbly wished him the best, but still disliked him. Mang0 had similar hatred, but had that "fuck you i'm better" ego. Even moreso, later on they eventually had mutual respect for eachother.

This shows that u still know your audience and what they want. Im happy for u that u learned from the last Kickstarter. I mean u went from a whole big project back to just a "tiny" DVD project with a really good promotion video. It just shows that its better to focus on a small goal and try to achieve that instead of failing cause youre goal was too ambitious.

Just wanted to say congrats on the successful Kickstarter! Honestly this is the first I've heard of it, but I've been pledging to you on Patreon since December 2020 (first time pledge was $30 - since then $5/mo since that's what I can afford lol). Like many others here, you're the reason I got into competitive Melee over 10 years ago and I am still very much in love with the game. At this point I'm not actually sure I should be thanking you or not LOL. Seeing the Smash doc definitely changed the course of my life for better or for worse. 😆

Won't lie, that vaporwave video 100% sold me on backing the DVD re-release lol. I've always been a big fan of vaporwave and it's aesthetic, and that video perfectly captured that vibe, and as a someone who's reason for getting into melee was largely the original doc, I just had to get it. <3!
